Worked example
For a 1,600 kg car with 400 bhp, the estimator produces a rough quarter-mile result and a broad 0–60 range. A real road test can be faster or slower depending on launch control, tyre temperature, gearing, weather and surface.
Why the 0–60 output is a range
Low-speed acceleration is especially traction-limited, so one power-to-weight formula cannot credibly distinguish a front-wheel-drive car on road tyres from an AWD car with launch control. A range communicates that uncertainty better than a false decimal-point prediction.
What this tool is for
Use it to compare scenarios or sense-check modifications. Do not use it as evidence that a vehicle will achieve a particular timed performance figure.
